Delete Your GlowGram Account

You can delete your GlowGram account and the personal data associated with it at any time. The fastest method is the in-app deletion flow, which removes your data immediately. An email-based fallback is available if you cannot access your account.

Method 1 — In-App Deletion (Recommended)

This is the primary method. Deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation.

Steps

Open the GlowGram app and sign in.
Go to Settings → Support → Delete Account.
Read the on-screen warning about what will be deleted.
Type your registered Google account email address into the confirmation field.
Tap Delete Account.

Your account, generated content, and associated data are deleted immediately upon confirmation.

Method 2 — Email Request (If You Cannot Sign In)

Use this method only if you have lost access to your Google account or are otherwise unable to use the in-app flow.

Steps

Send an email to hello@glowgram.app.
Use the subject line: Delete My GlowGram Account.
Include the Google account email address you registered with so we can locate your account.
We will verify ownership before processing.

Email-based requests are processed within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted Immediately

The in-app deletion flow calls our delete-account Edge Function, which invokes auth.admin.deleteUser(userId). Database ON DELETE CASCADE rules then remove all associated rows, and Storage objects are purged. The following are deleted as part of the cascading cleanup:

Your Google account link and authentication record
All personas (including avatar animations and source images)
All generated photos
All generated videos and reference videos you uploaded
Credit balance and the entire credit-transaction history
Subscription status and history records held by us (subscription cancellation must be done separately — see below)
Trending feed likes, comments, and interaction history
FCM push notification tokens
Profile information (name, avatar, settings)
All Storage files (images, videos, derivatives) under your account namespace

What Is Retained

The following limited categories are retained after deletion. None of them are used to identify you in any product context.

Purchase receipts — Up to 7 years, as required by the Korean Commercial Act, tax law, and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. These are stored for legal and accounting compliance only.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics — Non-identifiable usage statistics with no personal identifiers (e.g., monthly generation counts, feature usage rates).
Legal hold data — If we are required to preserve specific records by court order, subpoena, or law-enforcement request, we retain those records for the duration of the legal hold.

Important: Cancel Your Subscription Separately

Deleting your GlowGram account does NOT automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. Google Play manages billing independently. Cancel your subscription in Google Play before deleting your account, otherwise you may continue to be billed.

To cancel:

Open the Google Play app on your Android device.
Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Select GlowGram and tap Cancel subscription.
Follow the prompts to confirm.

Processing Time

In-app deletion — Immediate. The account and associated data are removed at the moment of confirmation. Residual backups are purged within 30 days as part of normal infrastructure rotation.
Email-based deletion — Processed within 30 days of receipt and identity verification.

Reconsidering?

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Generated content cannot be recovered after deletion. If you simply want to take a break, you can sign out of the app instead — your account and content remain intact and you will not be billed beyond your current subscription period (if any).
